Gantry cranes have a bridge-like structure with i-beam that spans two A-frame legs that are used to support the beam. Cantilever gantry cranes have an i-beam that can extend beyond the outer frame of the crane making it possible for you to lift and/or move your load without it having to be situated immediately between the two A-frame legs. This broadens the lifting range of the crane and makes it much easier to load, unload, and move cargo on one or both sides of it.
The pages below provide the overall span of each of our cranes, the maximum cantilever distance (A), maximum levered load capacity (B), and required counterweights (C) at the opposite end of the i-beam. Crane models are broken out by construction material and crane capacity.
